As a mother and woman, I’m horrified at the events in Charlottesville that led to a woman’s death.
I’m additionally horrified that Hillary Clinton, a supposed champion of the cause of women, has said nothing about it.
My remarks come as former president of the Wellesley Alumnae Club, the all-woman’s college where Clinton is an alum — and where she continues to be revered like a god. Including, her strategies.
Her primary strategy of #RESIST. A strategy that not only failed in winning the election, but now, has resulted in a death.
A woman’s death.
The strategy of “resist” that sends people pouring in the streets, to march, chant, escalate, clash and fight … and leads to no productive end and instead, death.
If this woman’s death is not a massive, massive wake up call, then I just don’t know what to say.
But Clinton should say something, but as of this moment has said nothing. Last we hear, Clinton is spending time with her pastor, finding God.
Perhaps less time should be spent talking about one’s soul search with God, and actually do something about what one learned … if anything.
Because if not now, when?
To finally do the genuine and deep, deep soul-searching that leads only one direction: to figure out what went wrong.
Not perpetuate more of the same, but under guise of newly found faith and piousness.
Unfortunately, it is a suggestion that only comes back with the same answer as always: to continue to #Resist.
