President Jerry Laricchiuta won the election to become the Long Island Region 1 president for the Civil Service Employees Association.
After serving Nassau County’s largest public union as president of Local 830 for the past 15 years, Jerry will now be serving the 44,000 employees from Montauk to the Nassau/Queens border. With over 73 percent of the votes tallied, Jerry’s overwhelming victory is a testament to the faith that Long Island’s Civil Service employees place in his abilities as a labor leader.
As a result of the election, Ron Gurrieri is now the new president of CSEA Local 830. Ron is a 40-year employee of Nassau County and has served as Jerry’s executive vice president for the past 15 years and as a vice president for the local for the previous 26 years.
