Weekend Film:

Bad Times at the El Royale (2019), starring Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo and Dakota Johnson, is playing at Great Neck House, Friday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5 & 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Four strangers check into the El Royale Hotel in the early ’70s. Some are less than innocent and others are not who they appear to be. Rated R; runs 2 hours 21 minutes. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park pass.

 

Sunday @ 3:

The Godfrey Townsend Duo will be performing Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m., at the Great Neck House. Currently the lead guitarist for the Yardbirds, Godfrey performs classics by the Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton and more. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park pass.

 

Nature Program:

On Sunday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m., meet at the Bailey Arboretum in Lattingtown for a guided tour which includes live birds, woodlands, a pond and more. Binoculars helpful. Register now on our website at www.gnparks.org or call (516) 487-GNPD. Children under age 16 not permitted to attend.

 

Skate School and Bruins Hockey Registration:

Register for Skate School or the Bruins Hockey programs second session (which runs through March) at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink. New students always welcome. For those children or adults who are interested, private lessons are also offered! Call (516) 487-GNPD.

 

Winter Camp Parkwood and Holiday Tennis Camp:

It’s never too early to plan! Children ages 4-10, can enjoy Winter Camp Parkwood during the week of Dec. 23 (excludes holidays), from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink. Daily resident fee: $120; Daily non-resident fee: $150. Register online at gnparks.org or call (516) 487-GNPD.

For all those tennis enthusiasts out there, tennis programs are offered from Dec. 23 through Dec. 31 (no camp Dec. 25), 12-4 p.m. for children ages 6-17.
