A Floral Park, Queens, man was arraigned Wednesday after his arrest for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of beer and cosmetics from five convenience stores.
Police arrested Jeffrey Waiksnis, 39, on March 29 for the alleged burglaries in Westbury and Franklin Square between Oct. 1 and Feb. 26.
On two separate occasions in October, Waiksnis allegedly stole 200 cases and eight 12-packs of beer from the same Westbury Walgreens store at 15 Old Country Road.
On Jan. 20, police said, he stole $4,500 worth of assorted cosmetics from CVS at 610 Old Country Road in Westbury.
In February, he allegedly took 226 bottles of nail polish and $420 worth of socks and nail polish from a Franklin Square CVS at 640 Franklin Ave.
Officers from Nassau County’s Bureau of Special Operations arrested Waiksnis on March 29 at Queens Central Booking, where he was being held on an unrelated incident in New York City, Nassau police said.
He is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny for the Nassau County robberies.
Waiksnis is also facing three petit larceny charges and an attempted petit larceny charge in connection with alleged crimes on three separate dates going back to July 10, court records show.
He is due back in court April 1.
